Taking care of chickens in Hapunan—the psychological horror game developed by YIKON GAMES INC and published by Neuroticfly Games—is your primary job to earn money after Niko and his father arrive in Barangay Sakdudol. Managing your coop capacities, feeding pens, and nesting boxes correctly determines whether you deliver clean egg trays or ruin your harvest with spoiled eggs.

The Core Chicken Care Loop

The poultry routine follows a strict step-by-step sequence: Coop -> Feeding Cage -> Egg Station -> Tray -> Repeat.

Equip and Move Chickens: Open your inventory using Tab and equip the chicken. Pick it up and carry it between stations. You can also throw items or feed using C.
Feed in the Cage: Chickens only eat inside the single feeding cage. Place one bird inside the pen and provide feed. They will eat until satisfied.
Transfer to Nesting: Once a chicken finishes eating, immediately transfer it to the egg-laying structure (nesting area).
Collect the Fresh Egg: Wait for the fresh egg to roll out, collect it, and place it into your egg tray.
Prevent Spoiled Eggs: If you fail to place an egg-ready chicken into the designated laying area in time, it will drop a spoiled egg, wasting your feed and slowing down your quota.
Return to Coop: Once finished, return the bird to the chicken house (coop) so it can rest.
